Chaplain to CWL Board - May 2012

Sister John Bosco Kendall has recently been appointed by the New Zealand Bishops’ Conference to the chaplaincy of the Catholic Women’s League Board, following a request from the Board.

Sister John Bosco has been the Chaplain to the Wellington Archdiocesan Council of the league since 1985, when she was the first woman in New Zealand to be appointed to such a post.  She is currently holding the same position in the Palmerston North Diocese.A CWL statement said the appointment will be of huge benefit in enabling the CWL Board to focus on delivering in accord with its motto of “Faith and Service”.

Years as a Josephite Sister, and being involved in ministries such as teaching, financial administration, adult formation, policy development, and service on national, archdiocesan, and diocesan church bodies have prepared John Bosco  well for this latest position.
